  1. Once you are all set up, take a look at your table/booth from the side(s) your customer sees. Looking at everything through the eyes of the customer, you might notice something that you wouldn't from your selling position. I do shows with a friend & one morning when everything that could go wrong, did, we were hurrying to set up & she placed all of her labels on one side of the table facing US. It got busy very fast & we didn't realize the mistake until a customer mentioned it about 30 mins into the show. She has been doing shows for 16 yrs and never made this mistake before but was just rattled over the events of the morning & having to hurry.

  2. I have also tried to refill one (not from BBW) and it didn't work but I don't think the wick took up the oil. Bought one from someplace online that was supposed to be refillable. It was easier to do and the directions said to use any FO (didn't say to add anything else) but when I plugged it in I didn't get much of a scent. The oil holder didn't even seem warm after being plugged in so I just figured it was a piece of junk & threw it away. Don't remember the site but they were also selling air scenters for cars & they sold pads that you could use to refill it with any oil you wanted to use. I was just glad i hadn't wasted more money buying that too!

  3. I don't remember why I bought Crafter's Choice Liquid Sparkle and Crafter's Choice liquid pigment(from WSP). Can anyone help me out & tell me what you use it for?? I'm thinking I tried the liquid sparkle in a M&P soap & the soap felt greasy. But then again maybe I didn't LOL! Thanks for refreshing what little memory I have left!

  4. Am making some Christmas ornaments using a one cavity silicone mold( holds less than 1/2 cup melted wax) so I can only do one at a time. I melted & scented too much wax the first time & by the time I got done reheating it so many times to pour in the mold, it lost the scent. What is the best way to do something like this? Thanks for any help!

  5. I use 4794 for my electric candles. That is the wax suggested when my daughter took the class last year. What hurricane wax are you refering to and where do you get it?

I have used 151 MP hurricane, 156 MP hurricane, & IGI 4761 (all from candlesandsupplies.com). I don't know how any of them are for color & scent with the electric candles as I'm making no scent, no color "snowball" ones for a teacher who wants them for all of the children in her class.

  6. I just used some of this & the little bits of oatmeal are all in one place on the finished soap. I stirred it very well before I poured it in the mold. Is there anything I can do to prevent this or will the oatmeal always fall to the bottom of the mold?

  7. I'm going to be out of hurricane wax before I finish the electric candles I need & I'm worried about a wax order getting here quickly. I believe someone on here said they use IGI4794 for electric candles but isn't the melting point too low? Any one using this wax in electric candles or am I dreaming? Thanks for any help.

  8. Is TNS Tennesee Candle Supply? I have tried Pink Sugar from NG,Tennesse Candle Supplies, ICS & SOS. My nieces like ICS the best & they think it is the closest to the dupe. I don't know what the real thing smells like but I do like the one from ICS. NG seems sweeter to me. Tennesee is a little different than ICS & to me does not seem as strong. None of us liked the SOS. Hope this helps.

  9. I realize this would most likely depend on the base one was using in each application but in general, which would hold the scent longer on your skin? I tried a solid & it the scent didn't seem to last long at all. The dry oil spray with cyclo lasted a bit longer than the solid so it has me wondering about the liquid perfume. Thanks for any opinions.

  10. Is there anything I can do to make the fizzing process of my bathbombs last longer when I put one in the tub? My recipe is:

    1 cup baking soda

    1/2 cup citric acid

    1/2 cup cornstarch

2 Tablespoons of Jojoba oil or SAO

I spray them with alcohol or witch hazel when I take them out of the mold.

    THANKS

  11. I tried this recipe for "scentabuns" & it was so dry I had to add more & more glycerin. Thinking it would be too greasy, I intended to add FCO but grabbed the bottle of cyclo instead. When I realized what I'd done, I added the FCO too. Now I have a GREASY mess of FCO & cyclo plus the recipe ingredients & there is no way I'm going to get what I planned. Is there anything I can add to lessen the oilyness of it all and use it for something else? Thanks for any suggestions!!

    2 Cups Baking Soda

    1/4 Cup Cream Of Tartar

    1 Cup Natrasorb Bath

    1 Cup Epsom Salt

    1/2 Cup SLSA

    1/4 - 1/2 Cup Glycerin
