  1. Just wondering what is the most realistic pine that throws well in soy. I have tried about 15-20 different companies and so far the best is cc's pine and soy candle.coms pine. Wondering if anyone has tried yankee's dupe of c-mas wreath or windsong balsalm from wholesale supplies plus and how well do they do in soy. So many companies say that they smell exactly like a pine tree and they smell like pinesol. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone:D :) Turkey dinner , football, and cold beer:drool:

  2. I learned the hard way. I have been making candles for 11 years and I usually order samples. I took Becky's word that the certain fragrances that I picked would work well in soy.It also shows on their website which fragrances throw well in soy.So I decided to order 18lbs. of fragrances and maybe 4 out of the 18 choices worked.I have about 6 different soy waxes and it didn't make a difference which ones I tried them in.I also bought 11 lbs. of their parasoy and had the cmas tree fragrance start on fire. What a site to see a 3 and a half inch flame. Becky told me it was because I was using cd wicks which burn hot. That's funny because I made about 10,000 candles with cd wicks in the last 3 years and have never had a problem.I could go on about credit card #'s sent through a email even though a phone call was requested but I have had enough venting.:angry2: :angry2: :angry2: :angry2:

  3. I double wick my soy candles with cd wicks. Don't be afraid to trim the wicks really short when you make them. My customers can't believe how they do not have to trim the wicks. I trim them to about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch before they are even lit. A big isssue I feel on wicking is the opening of the jar. I use the 16 oz. square mason jars and do not have any problems with wicking.

  4. As far as the wax changing from batch to batch I have not noticed this.I have been using this wax for almost 4 years and probably have made about 15,000 candles between my dad and I and we havn't noticed any problems even with the candles being dull. Of the 5 soy waxes that I have tried eco soy 125 I believe was the worst soy wax that I tried.

  5. I forgot to add price. It is about 35.00 for 50lbs. My dad also makes candles. We have probably made about 20,000 candles and have had the best luck with ez soy with no frosting at all. We double wick with cd wicks. With the money I save on wax I can go out and have a beer and a steak or buy more fragrances. :yay::shocked2::P:yay:

  6. I have been using soy wax for 5 years. I use different soy wax depending on the situation. I currently use ez soy when I go to shows or for the candles that I supply to stores. The reason is is for the appearance. I get no frosting and a decent scent throw. When making large quanities the appearance is importtant.I love the scent throw in the enchanted lites soy but the wax is touchy with frosting. I have been testing there millenium blend and have been having better results with frosting. I tested ky 125 and it is very similar to the ez soy.I also live in WI so shipping is cheaper to buy the ez soy. I just wished bcn fragrances were better.

  7. I seem to be the only person who would never order from js. I gave them a chance 4 times and had problems 3 times. My dad ordered from Becky and wanted a invoice so he could claim it on taxes. When Becky emailed a invoice she had his credit card # name , expiration, 3 digit id on the back on the email. When my dad called her because she overcharged him 30.00 she said she didn,t have time to deal with this and hung up on him. I tried her 50/50 blend and had the whole candle start on fire. Becky told me it was the cd wicks that I was using. Excuse me, I have probably made about 20,000 candles before and have never had this happen.Very unprofessional.:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
