  1. I feel your pain, not only do we not have a kitchen for cooking anymore, I am sure you all can relate too this too, I have clean cotton burning in the bedroom, cinnamon bun in the kitchen and pink sugar in the bathroom......and calgon thinks they have something goin on
  2. Thanks for all the replies, I am thinking I will put a few up for a year and see what happens. I do notice that if I burn them soon after pouring them that I can not smell them. I lit one today that I made 3 weeks ago and I can smell it all through my house, can't wait to see results after being stored for a while.
  3. Duh Me...stainless STEEL, so much for spelling awards in 4th grade:grin2:
  4. I too use stainless steal spoons, needless to say I have to wash dishes before I can eat soup or cereal.
  5. I know this has been asked before, I couldn't find the thread on it. I just started making my own candles (for myself) not to sell, and was wondering how long they are good in storage. I don't want to make a stock pile of them and then end up having to throw them away. Thanks Pennie
  6. too funny you all, I am thinkin were all related at this point:D
  7. I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to your site....I am feelin like a chemist at this point, you all are awesome! I am only trying to make candles for myself, not into the business side of it just self satisfaction. I am playin with the soy side of candles tho. I will have a lot of questions also, and oh my, there is too many scents to try...thats where I think I may break the bank on this adventure. Right now, i only have 10 scents that I have ordered from MC, but I am seeing a ton of others that UPS will be delivering soon:grin2: .
  8. I think your right Jim, I have read this forum for a few months and thought what a piece of cake...I love candles, burn them every day..and thought what the heck I will make my own, hmm I love a challenge anyways but I don't have a lot of patience uh oh I just got a bunch of supplies from a few diff companies, been doing ok I think, have had to remelt and restest a lot, but I will be damned if I will deal with wet spots, I gave that up when I got divorced. kidding, but I do read a lot and ya all are great with tons of advice, just wanted to say thanks:D
