  1. LOL, I can relate. My 26 y/o son grabbed a bar (without really looking) and jumped in the shower. After he got out and got dressed, he found me and had a very disgusted look on his face. I asked him what was wrong. He asked "when did I start putting girlie glitter in my soap?" LOL, I told him it was just that bar to reflect the scent name. He promptly picked out another bar of soap and handed me the Jack Frost. Have fun and good luck! :highfive:

  2. Awww, Brian, you are so sweet!!!! I'm sure you could tell that I was having a a$$-kicking, wax lobbing, soap slinging, wall-eyed fit. Just the thought of it taking 2 seconds to take my money and 21 days to refund it just did me in. The funny thing about this...I had just printed 3 labels (prior) without any problems. I went to do number 4 and viola, the window didn't pop up asking me to "pay and continue" to print the "sample label" or regular label. I talked to Leslie right after it happened, drank 2 TALL coffees and walked around outside to "chill out"! I just got back from standing in that crazy, long line at the PO. That kinda rubbed me raw, again. But, it's done, shit happens and now I just need to "put on my big girl draws and get over it" LOL! :D

P.S. Leslie, the bong worked wonderfully, thanks!!!!! :highfive:

  3. Oh gosh, that's really hard to say. I would think 1/8 tsp for 3 oz. would be a lot but maybe not. I used 1/2 tbsp for a 3 pound batch of soup when I did Jack Frost and I had tons of bling bling. You could try a test batch and see what your results are and that should give you a starting point.

  4. I am sooooo pissed off right now. I just tried to generate 3 shipping labels and got redirected saying "paypal was unable to connect to the USPS shipping center" or whatever the hell it says and that my account would be credited within 5 minutes. Well, it's been over 5 minutes, more like 30 minutes. So, I called paypal. I was told that I will be credited in up to 21 days because the post office has to verify the labels weren't used. The main problem with this is....I never got to the page that has the "Pay and Continue" button so how the f**k did I pay USPS for the label? All the idiot could say to me was "I do apologize for your inconvenience and Paypal is aware of this issue that's why you got the "unable to connect to USPS" message. Hello, McFly.....if I was never able to connect please tell me how the f**k it was able to charge for a label? LMFAO, that left her speechless for almost 30 seconds and then it was "I do apologize..." At that point, I cut her off and told her if Paypal knows there is a problem with the link to USPS then they should disable the feature so people aren't charged. LMAO, that left her speechless again. I hope my entire conversation was taped for "quality control purposes!!!!" I just demonstrated the only requirement for customer service at Paypal is a freakin brainstem (and not much of that)!!!!!

  5. I have the 16 bar Misty Creek, and I made templates from the quilting mylar. I use a little petroleum jelly to make the side sections stick to the sides of the mold. Works great!

Thanks for sharing that Sandi!!! I think I might give it a try. I do have a question though....how do you cut the soap with the mylar template? Do you take the soap out, remove the template and the put the soap back in to cut?

LMAO, Julie, you crack me up. But, I do agree, I'm digging soapmaker mans mold!!

  6. I have the kelsei mold but the bars are small compared to my log molds. I am thinking about getting the misty mold. Which one do you have and do you line it with freezer paper and then how do you cut it with the paper there? Sorry about all of the questions. TIA

It comes with a template and you line it with freezer paper using the template. Then, you just place your freezer paper in the mold, tape it down and your ready to go. I just use a knife and gently slice the slits so my cutting knife doesn't get jammed up or make it hard to cut. I have the 16 bar mold. Lining the mold isn't hard at all. It's just something I've had to get used to after using the Kelsei for so long. No problem, I don't mind answering questions, lol.

  7. You might want to check eBay. I think there is a mold maker/seller that goes by the name Mr. Do Right. I believe he has a mold/cutter all in one that comes with a soap cutter for about $40.00. Search Log Soap Molds and you should be able to find him. Misty Creek comes with the mold and cutter. Kelsei has dividers so you don't need a cutter. Upland you need a cutter. Bevelers can run any where from $12.00 (Lil Shaver) to $40+ (Kangaroo Blue). Check Mr. Do Right out on eBay to see if he has anything your looking for in a mold. Otherwise, your looking at a mold and a beveler and combined that will get you (with shipping) up to $100.
