  1. I am looking for small square, rectangle and round containers. I would prefer them to be aged or distressed looking. I don't want glass, I want the pottery look and maybe some animals like the birds or frogs of Swan Creek. Any help will be appreciated Mike
  2. Check this link, click on the types of wicks for wicking charts. click here
  3. My neighbor gave me three two pound bags she bought back last summer. Is there a wax out there to compare it to?
  4. If you need to try another wick, do you just pull the one out and insert the different one? I did this with pillars and it worked pretty well. Problem is the wick tab stuck to the bottom of the container. Could you fill the candle and then drill a hole?
  5. I noticed when reading descriptions of waxes and fo's the wax will read, can hold up to 10 % FO. Some fo's will read, recommended usage 3-4 %. Do most of you just go with the 10% rule no matter the FO as a starting point?
  6. Very nice, I build some furniture sometimes. Here is a project I want to do. I have never made a table before but this looks fun. http://youtu.be/5tZSgywSJQk
  7. Thanks everyone for the advice.
  8. Do people use soy or paraffin? I have some pillar paraffin I need to use up, would that work? Also, is there a tutorial on making the melts anywhere?
  9. Thanks, the 8 inch CD's will work great. I don't want to have to make wicks if I don't have to.
  10. Who has the best Red Currant and Clean Cotton also what is a good coffee FO?
  11. On the CD wicks, I can't find any 8 inch. I have a few containers that I need larger than 6. I say an Eco 10 at 10 inch and what do you think about that in a 4 inch dia. container? Can I get the Eco on a roll and make my own? Looking at my containers, I see about 20 percent of what I am doing will be needing more than a 6 inch wick. What do ya think?
  12. Weigh the pour pot before and after pouring and you can do the math to see how much went into the container. You have a general idea of a where the level should be in the container so get it close and then weigh the pour pot.
  13. I think I will get some new FO and test with the old and new and see what happens. I am not looking to do color or additives either. Have you used the premier wicks like OldGlory talks about? Thanks Mike
  14. Thanks, I noticed there were a lot of 464 users so I figured it must be a good wax and with the info from the board I can get a good starting point. I guess I will go with Peak, the prices are good and the shipping is almost the same with Aztec.
