  1. What about just the petals? I think I saw a candle that was some shade of red, with the petals embedded in the wax. I found a pic of a gel candle http://romanceher.com/candles.htm but the ones I saw were regular wax.
  2. I can probably squeeze that in tonight then. Maybe I can get my hubby to put the kids in bed. lol
  3. I'm just making one from the kit. I have to add dye and fragrance, but that is it. How long until you re-pour? Or is it ok to do that the next day?
  4. To make a pillar candle? I got a kit and really want to do one, but I need to wait until the kids are in bed. I don't want to be up too late, so I'm wondering about how long it will take.
  5. I do have some votive molds here too...somewhere. We just moved lol. I know where the votive wic pins are.(that I never used lol)
  6. That definitely helps! Thanks so much. I just didnt' want to melt 2lbs and then have extra wax with nothing to do with it. I can't wait to get started!
  7. Now, what do I do lol? It is the pillar kit and it has instructions but not specific ones. How many candles will it make(10 lbs of wax)? Will it make one of each kind? Or two?
  8. Right. I have votives and wick pins, so if I get a kit I'd like to get pillars to try. Do you use wick pins for pillars? I actually never got to try my votives with the pins yet, I got very busy, but things are finally settling for us.
  9. Wow! I have never seen her candles before. They are awesome!
  10. That is what I did, the one time I tried so far lol. I'd like to know too.
  11. I was looking there! I saw they take paypal, which I prefer. I have my 'own' spending money in there lol.
  12. I tried my hand at votives(once) awhile ago, I think before my last baby was born. I got a little busy after that and never really got started yet. I was thinking of getting a kit for pillars, since I have tons of votive molds. Can anyone reccommend a good one?
  13. Thanks guys! I remelted and poured them, these are for my little ones so they don't have to be perfect, they can't burn them lol. When you use the wick pins, do the wicks fall back out? I have had some candles before where the wick slides right out of the bottom.
  14. Thanks, I think the wicks just leaned over too much. How do I use the wick pins? Can I melt these down and use the wax again, or will that ruin the wax?
  15. Hi, new here, but I have a question. Last night I made some votives, I put the wicks into the metal mold with sealer so that they stuck to the bottom before I poured. They turned out ok. Then I read on here to let the wax cool a little then put the wick in, so I tried that and when I repoured the wax covered my wick. Why did that happen? Can I get the wicks to come out the right way now? Thanks Heather
