  1. Have you tried wix n wax in gladewater, tx and/or starrville soap and candle supply in the same area? They are lesser known, but both on the web and have great customer service! www.wixnwax.com and www.starrville.com. I have used them both for years! hope that helps!
  2. Thanks for the tip! I will definitely have to check that out because I am a wee bit on the messy side and our workshop could use a good cleaning!
  3. Thank you all for your help. Now, I've just got to decide if it will be worth all the effort, it would be more to get my name out there than to make money because it is for our church, so I won't really be making any money if you consider labor. You've given me good food for thought, though. It's much more labor intensive than I thought.:embarasse
  4. We've been asked to pour 1100 candles in votive-sized terra cotta pots for a women's banquet. We are excited, but our product line is only apothecary jars and tins. Has anyone ever poured into terra cotta pots? Do we need to pour at a cooler temp? Does anyone have a good source to get these? Are there some out there without the hole in the bottom? Sorry so many questions, but didn't know where else to start researching this... Thanks in advance for your expertise!
  5. Aztec is great! I get J50 from them and have used several of their FOs as well. Great customer service!
  6. :rolleyes2 We recently moved our business into a "workshop" at a rental place; we arranged ours alphabetically and it works great! We can quickly check for reorders when we need to,etc. We also got one of those mini-drawer organizers for screws, etc. and alphabetically organized and labeled all of our colors...it really speeds things up when we are making, no more fumbling around for the right color or scent. I'm not so good at the organization, but my partner keeps me in line in that area! Good luck! trendy
  7. I get $5.00 wholesale and they sell for $10.00 retail for my 8 oz. tins. If I do a home party, I charge $8.00. I'm interested in seeing responses for the other sizes because I have been thinking about adding a smaller tin to my line...
  8. Thanks for your help. I did a search on this site for "sample packs" and found lots of helpful info. I just needed the right wording for the search! Everyone is so helpful on this site...thanks!
  9. Help! I'm a bit of a newbie, (longtime lurker, first time posting) and I'm searching for tealight containers with individual plastic lids. I would like to make up small sample packs to take to business owners to smell, or for my friends to take somewhere to help market my candles without lugging around a load of jars or tins. One of my store owners suggested having one of each scent in tealights with lids in a compact storage case to transport from business to business. They had another company that had used this in their presentation and it sounded like a great idea to me, but I haven't been able to find tealights with lids. I did a search on this board and several companies and haven't come up with anything...any suggestions? Thanks for your help!
