  1. Thank you.. I had thought about that myself but didn't know if anyone has tried it and how it would look! I think I'm gonna try it!! I love the rustic look! Linda
  2. Ohhhh...ya know I did catch that thread..and I tried to email you..and you have it set to not receive emails. I was gonna ask where you were from..lol. WOW..the good Lord works in mysterious ways dosen't he? I looked at Flimore before but didn't recall seeing them, but then I wasn't looking for those type lids either, lol. I hope you all are well to.. Linda
  3. KIM? OMG...no, I had no idea..I just got back into it a couple of months ago.Me and sis...after a few years break. We have done great so far. I have thought about calling you..do you know I never threw away where your dad lived or phone number. Of course you may not be there anymore, but I have hung on to it. I think about you often. I enjoy doing my candles..people really like them and it gets my mind off other things..just makes me happy. We have a show to do the beginning of Oct.We have sold a lot and really got our name out..can't believe how well it has gone in 2 months..and we have a couple of wholesale accounts to. If you want to email me I don't mind...I have to get busy again this week myself..got another order Friday...and bunches to stock back again! It is a small world.... Take care...
  4. Great TxGirl!!! Can't wait until ya find it..lol. I really like the look and think it'd be a cute idea..Didn't even know if anyone sold those or even made them(i make everything if I can, lol) I have never seen them..just an idea I had! I'll be around..so I'll be checking!!! thanks TxGirl!!
  5. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone makes their own gold jar lids look rusty? I have the tureen jars and wanna make the lids look rustic/rusty..like the kind you buy for the jj's. Any ideas? Or has anyone even attempted this? I would like to do that if not to time consuming. I think the look would look great! Thanks bunches, Linda
  6. Heya Kim, I use the j223 as well..where is the 6006? Never seen that one I guess. I really like the j223. I use 1 oz and the 1 1/2 oz sometimes to..just goes faster, lol. AND..I sell my Elites for 9 and have not had one problem selling them!! My only problem is trying to find them when the season is over and I think it is..Walmart here dosen't have them coming in anymore. I may have to switch to 8 oz tureens..I use the 6 oz tureens now for those...but I LOVE the 8 oz elites. I've looked online and they are really more expensive than walmart. I think if you raise that price they'll still sell..I haven't had a problem with them at that price!!! Linda TxAngel
  7. Thanks Kim, I'll just explain it to 'em..I use those Elite jars to and love 'em..that's why I don't like the fact that they'll throw them out. So if they save 'em for you, do you refill them for them? And if you do, what do you charge as they alreay paid for the jars? A dollar or two cheaper? Or they just give them back and you use them again for your line and they just buy a new one? Thanks bunches!!! Linda
  8. Hi all, Don't get me wrong..I love making them and folks are buying them. I just hope they don't feel like they're throwing money away because of the wax left over. I did tell 1 of the kids' friends to save me his jar..but that was because I've known him forever:) I don't think I'd ask folks to save their jars and give them back cuz i feel like they are paying for their jars. I'd feel like I had to fill it for almost nothing. Then..the oil fresheners..wax binds with the oil..so I don't know if you could really add more fo or not..probably not cuz wax only holds so much oil. Unless it burns it all off and you can add it..but then you don't get it hot enough to ~bind~ more oil again..seems to me it's be like making another new candle...so may not be worth it. I'll just keep selling them and if they ask I'll tell them the fragrance is what lasts so long and they'll just throw it all away and buy another.
  9. Hi all, I have a question about the wickless and wax. I know that the scent goes away way before the wax. Does anyone's customers complain and what do you tell them when they wanna know why so much wax is left over? They just dump it/throw it out and get another? Do they not feel like it's a waste of money? A wicked candle burns the wax away, so I would think some folks would think they're wasting their money on wickless because the wax is left and you have to throw it all out when done. I've sold quite a few and no complaints yet but was just curious. Ohhh..another thing..I've burned one for over a month now and the fo is fading but the wax is still there..don't look like it's gone anywhere, lol. Does it EVER go away?? TIA, Linda
  10. Thanks Candybee and all, We have gone up to double on those and if we can't get them on sale we won't get them..but they are always on sale..so shouldn't be a problem. We haven't sold anything else either until we get our prices down..and I think we have..can't keep changing them. I think it'll work out and thanks for all the advice! it has really helped us out!! We were close..but not close enough. Just don't wanna sell so high they don't come back but wanna make a profit that we're entitled to as well! We have a great product, so they should!! Thanks bunches:)
  11. Hi all, Does anyone know where to get the polypro bags, ziplock with hang hole in TX or Houston area? I've searched high and low..found a place in NY, but wanna try for local or closer for shipping. TIA, Linda
  12. Hi LynnS, That's exactly what we figured..so we are offering a basket/pkg. with a warmer, a 6 oz. wickless, a tart(one in a solo cup) and a tart tin we got at Bed N Bath for.59 We were offering it for $12, and some are saying that is way to low and you only need to offer a 10% discount. Our 6 oz's were going for $6 and the warmer, 5$ and the tart 1.50, and tart tin 1.50...I thought it was pretty fair...but don't wanna go too low either, but want folks to come back. We are making a small profit but if we can make more I'd like to. A savings of 2.00..maybe we should raise the candle to 7, and try to figure it at a 1$ savings instead of 2. They can go right down the street here and get the warmers themselves. My sis lives out in the country and their Walmart is about 25 miles away to. Here though, we live right down the street from all of it and hubby works in the Nasa area and could sell for more probably. Any ideas on this is greatful:) And I've appreciated all the info!!
  13. Neil We either get them at Michaels for 3 for 10, or Hobby Lobby at 2.50 with their 40% off coupn. We're selling them at 5$...
  14. Hi all, What prices do you put on the candle warmers you get at Michaels,Hobby Lobby etc? We have bought those and they work just fine. In fact I love mine. But what would you sell them to ppl for? I get them on sale when they go on sale. We have a pkg deal and we were putting 5$ on them and have now gone up to 7$. Is this too much? Considering they can go get their own at Wal Mart, etc? I know us having them is a convience for them to and we have sold them..but only for 5. Should we stay at 5 or raise them? HELP? We are making a pricing sheet..I really want it to be economical to with a pkg. deal.. TIA Linda
  15. Has anyone tried the little flowerpot votive holders on a candle warmer? I can't find mine and wanted to try it. They are pretty thick, and am thinking they should work but need to try it first. Anyone? TIA, Linda
