  1. I sell my 6oz tins for $6.75 each, but when we are at shows, I mark them to 4 for $20.00 & sell the heck out of them. We always bring at least 5 of each scent and come home with almost none.

In our shows, the candles are our #1 seller - but in the retail shop the bathbombs are #1

  2. If you were to try shrinkwrap, I can't say enough good words about the shrinkwrap tubing I get in big rolls from

    www.uline.com

We have a wall that is just full of different sized tubes from 4" up to 16" and they really come in handy for those projects & I think that is the stuff you would want to get.

Also, if you wanted to really take the plunge into packaging perfectly, you may also want to buy yourself a heat gun and impulse sealer. I know it sounds like a lot, but if you sell at least $100.00 worth of candles this year, the whole system could pay for itself. You would never regret buying these things if you are really serious about packaging.

You can get a heat gun from any hardware store for $20.00 and the impulse sealer you can get from

    www.harborfreight.com

for about $20.00. You will be very happy you did this :)

  3. This was my first year being retail and during those really hot months we kept our A/C blasting and got tons of foot traffic, but didn't make as much as I thought we would.

It did help that we added some things that were especially for the warm months like our aloe vera whips. We really marketed that to sunburned or tanned people & sold alot of those.

I am not too familiar with what is a good day in retail, but we were lucky to make just around $50 - $200.00 each day.
