ksranch
I can not sew - and know squat about it :laugh2:But, a very dear friend does, and from what I understand she is quite good at it. She is going through a time where she is not working and is just going stir crazy - she has a birthday coming up - what I'm looking for help with is finding a Christmas sewing project that I can send to her. It would get her doing something, and something she likes at that. But, I don't even know where to start to look. I've tried googling, but I always end up places with cross stitch, embroidery, etc - not "sewing". If any of you sewing experts can guide me, I would be SO appreciative - and so would my friend!! SliverOfWax
Don't give her something she may not like. Get her a gift certificate to Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's Fabrics, or some place like that.
megandgarr
I have been toying with the idea of getting a Bucilla stocking kit but not sure I would have the patience, plus I font sew. Maybe your friend would enjoy making one. They are adorable and someday I might make one for each family member.

Lightning Bug
Does she quilt? Lots and lots of kits available though some are pricey. Or get her a package of fat quarters, charms or ??? http://www.connectingthreads.com/ has yardage that is pretty reasonable. Placemats, table runners and such don't require tons of material. Just a thought. You are so nice to think of her needs. Beth
