Speeder
Would it be a good match to pair candles, and jewelry (or custume jewelry)? The way I look at it is candles are a good gift, and so it jewelry, but then that's just my outlook.
drcobane
Hell that sounds like a good ideaLike a brownish colored candle with sandal wood and a bone necklace That would be cool or barrets
Speeder
well, i didn't really mean to pair the items up physically. (which is I guess an idea on it's own) i actually ment for a store.
drcobane
Either way at the reni fare here in co we have a candel vendor that does hair and sells amber jewelery and her shop got oooohs and ahhs but she was way to expensive even for my taste
Speeder
i'm just exploring ideas. I know jewelry but don't know nothing about candles =) are there any large popular candle stores? alternatively -- anybody interested in cooperating? I have a very interesting approach for that (PM me if you're interested)
MichelleOH
I make jewelry, sell candles and B&B! I see nothing wrong with that!
cas
Mixing candles and jewelry should be a good idea, as they both would be good sellers with one another!
Speeder
wow, that's more responses then expected. i like this forum!so the consensus is it should work - who wants to try it?pairing things - i have a large jewelry catalog, and very flexible software that can be used to integrate the jewelry catalog into another website. if anybody wants, i can demonstrate in a very interesting way.anyhow, what can be done is 'adding' jewelry to one's store, and then the store owner would be paid comission based on the sales off his website, and the niceness of the whole thing is, everything is integrated so tightly, the customer would not be able to tell throught the whole process. I even guarantee some money regardless.another thing is, the soft that i have is actually not limited to jewelry, so if you have a candle store with a not-so-good or not flexible ecommerce software (or lack scripting support on your webserver, such as PHP), that can be used to your advantage too!there's no cost involved, all that's needed is some interest.p.s i saw the PMs, this (i think) should answer the questions, if you have more, post here, or PM away =)
wvcandleguy
It sounds like a good offer. Where can we take a look at the jewelery you are offering or a sample of the website?
Speeder
check this out, here's the flexibility of the software. I took one item of the catalog, adjusted the color theme a little bit, and well, there you go, a store in a forum, lol.14K Large Cross With Large Round Cz In The Middle And Lined Cz's All AroundMetal: 14K GoldWeight: 37.3 grammPrice: $864[ Buy it NOW ](click here to try)

sockmonkey
Yankee Candle was selling candle jewelry for their pillar candles. It kind of looked like necklaces draped around a pillar. They used to show them at yankeecandle.com
