glowworm
I just received a sample pack of the performa wicks and am actually really liking them but was wondering if anyone knew what the difference was between the performa and the premier wicks. glowworm
Just bumping....does anyone have any experience with either of these wicks?
lmc
Ive tested the Premier wicks (in soy) and really like how they burn. I use CDNs but Premiers would be my 2nd choice, never tried Performa...
CaftCandles
I have a lot of experience with the performa wicks. I love how they burn and they can handle some really heavy FOs but I never had much luck with the HT. I get perfect posture and trimming with mostly no mushrooming but I could only get good HT with some of the lighter fragrances. I hope you have better luck than I did. glowworm
So far I am getting equally good ht with the performas comparable to zincs in the 6006. They are burning so nice and cleanly with little mushrooming. I think they are a great alternative to the zincs (which I find give great ht in 6006) for those people who have concerns regarding lead issues. I wish they had larger sizes though because I'm finding they burn cooler and even with the largest size I have only been able to single wick a 3 1/4" jar before having to double. That is what makes me curious about the premiers. According to the descriptions they both seem similar so wondering if I could use them for those applications where the performas are falling short???
