jennie12
We've been cutting wine bottles to use as containers for soy candles. My husband does the cutting and has a pretty high success rate, but recently somebody gave us a bottle and asked us to make a candle for them. Naturally this one cracked a little when it broke off. The crack is about 2 inches and not really that noticeable, but I'm just concerned about the safety factor if I go ahead with this bottle. Any thoughts? ksranch
Personally, I wouldn't do it - with a crack already there you'd be asking for trouble. JMHO
Pam W
NO - I would never pour a candle in a container that is cracked.
jennie12
Okay, well that settles that. Thanks for the feedback.
CaftCandles
The heat from the candle flame will cause the crack to grow or if you get a sudden major difference in temp it will probably shatter. I wouldn't do it!
