Palm stearic in soap?

I know people use 1% stearic to harden soaps, but I've never heard of using palm stearic. It's the only stearic I have. Can I use it in my CPHP soap? And does it have the same SAP value as regular stearic?

I'm really hate mushy soap, so if I can use the stearic I have, I'm gonna make this recipe:

2.7 oz lye

4.8 oz water

0.2 oz stearic (1%)

6.8 oz veg. shortening (34%)

3.5 oz coconut oil - 76 deg. (17.5%)

4.6 oz canola oil (23%)

4.9 oz soybean oil (24.5%)

Think it'll work? Too much coconut oil?
