Pengu
I have been reading forums, posts and blog articles all to try and arm myself with enough knowledge to start making my own roll on FO. I think I may have finally got the formulary right! So, if I want to make (10) bottles of roll on and each bottle is 1/3 oz (8.8ml) I should use 88 ml in total (8.8 ml x 10 bottles) of FCO as my carrier oil. Say I am using a FO with an IFRA of 5.20% then I need to use 0.456 ml of FO per bottle Am I right?!I am at wits end with myself with these calculations. lauramw71
Yes, you are correct!!! To make this MUCH easier on you next time you need to convert % to weight, go to wsp's site and click calculators. They have 2 there.. 1 that converts weight to %, and one that converts % to weight. It's a LIFESAVER for me!!!! I personally prefer a roll on with a higher % of FO, but that's just me. So I try to stick with FO's that have a higher skin safe amount.
