blt212 Posted September 2, 2011 Share Posted September 2, 2011 I just received an email supposedly from the FTC stating their was a consumer complaint...I found out it's a spam by calling the FTC. They explained it's a hoax and not to open the file because it can install a virus. Just wanted to warn others if it's making the rounds... When you click on the link (that is supposedly a PDF file) it only gives you the option to "Save" it to your computer instead of opening it. It's an .SCR file, which when you Google it, you find out that it's a way to install a trojan virus on your computer. Luckily, we have a few smarts when it comes to computer stuff, but I'm afraid before it's all over that there will be several people who get the virus!!
