*Dee*
So I got some of these in awhile ago. I noticed it takes fragrance really fast. and went through to the other side well. I didn't over do it since nothing came out on the tin foil under the freshener but I am now curious once it dries will it take more oil? Or do you notice once it is fully soaked like that it is enough and you can't load it anymore?

Chauna1
I usually do both sides. They are scented well. You may get by with scenting them twice on both sides depending on how much you put on them the first time. Do one side, let it dry completely. Then do the other side. I like to paint mine with paint. Mine are normally white in color so they can be painted any color I like. I hope this helps you in some way. Let me know if you need anymore help.Chauna
Sharon in KY
I usually put a squirt cap on my FO bottles, so I just dribble all over the card board and it soaks in. I include a 1/4 oz bottle with mine to re-scent. I like to paint mine with paint. Mine are normally white in color so they can be painted any color I like. What kind of paint would work with FO? Chauna1
I use the acrylic paint that you see in craft stores or the craft section of Wally World. I paint mine first and let them sit overnight or several hours. Then I paint on the FO. Hope that makes sense. LOL. PM if anyone needs any help with them.Chauna

I don't have a Michael's or AC Moore close by, I'd have to buy the paint on line and have it shipped to me.

And does the paint affect how the cardboard absorbs the FO??
Chauna1
I got my acrylic paint at Wal-Mart. I didn't like the color of the freshener so I painted it first an let it dry then brushed on the FO. The paint did not seem to bother the absorbition rate at all. I have also done them without painting them. So if you don't like the color or would like to sell different colors of the fresheners you should be able too without any problems. HTH,ChaunaP.S. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. AlwaysWondering
I might venture into this world of car fresheners. I'm going to make a test one but personally, I don't like a "burn the hair in your nose" scent in my car. The tree one I buy at Kmart allows me to control the scent power because of the bag and how much of the tree I want to expose. This isn't possible with a homemade car freshener, right? Does this mean is it killer strong at first? How long does that strong scent last and then how long does it "regular" scent a car? Maybe I'll make one and let it hang in the laundry room for a week and then put it in my car.
Sharon in KY
I pack mine in a bag that can be pulled down so less of the cardboard is out. I'm sure any clear bag used will work. They sell the bags with the shapes.
carol k
I package mine in polypro bags & you could just pull down or snip a corner off of the bag to control the scent. Btw, I just ordered the little trees black ice from sos & it's awesome. The blue ice is great too.

I package my fluted tarts in polypro bags but they would fall right off a cardboard air freshener. I think I've seen heat sealing gadets to seal these bags. Is that what you do? Chauna1
I use a polypro bag too. I put a tent card on top and staple it to a bag and punch a hole in the tent card for displaying.HTH,Chauna
