tyty72
I made a candle. Rather i was testing lovely lilac in igi j223 wax. The diameter of the tumbler container is 2.75 inches and holds 4 oz of wax. I added 1 oz of fo to 16oz of wax at 170f, poured at 145f. I used z44-32-18, low smoke zinc 25, and z51-32-18. I let them cure for 6 days ( even though you do not have to wait that long, I just like to wait 6 days.) All three of these wick drowned. I smell really strong ct and ht, it just goes out. The scent is almost too strong. Do I need to use a bigger wick or should I use less fo. Have anyone use candle cocoon lovely lilac. Please help
ChrisR
Most lilacs I've used usually don't need much more than 1/2 oz./lb and a bigger wick.
lsbennis
My experience with Candle Cocoon FO's is less is more, try cutting back to see if that makes a difference.
marcuset
Haven't used Lovely Lilac, but I know that the oils are extremely concentrated & you only need 1/2 as much as you would would other suppliers. Lyschel has mentioned using 3%-4% in making candles with them.
