cactusladycandles
Okay, I did a really stupid thing today. I'm making heart candles using feather palm wax and 2-piece plastic molds. This particular wax was suppose to be pillar but I think I got container. So, I've been putting stearic in the wax so it will come out of the molds. Been doing this for a year. Today, my brain went south, and I forgot to put the stearic in. Now I have two heart molds with wax stuck in them. Any suggestions how to get the wax out without ruining the plastic molds. If it was a metal mold, I could put it in a pot on the stove and melt the wax out. But this is plastic, and the opening is really small. Too small to dig out with a knife. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I only have two molds and Valentine's Day is coming up.

Stella1952
If the freezer doesn't work, try very warm tap water. You can either run the hot water all over the mold or submerge the whole thing. Good luck!
cactusladycandles
I just checked. They still won't come out. Can I submurge the mold in hot water, not boiling but about 180 degrees. I'll try running lot water over the mold in the sink.

Stella1952
If chilling doesn't work, heating usually does, unless it's mold vacuum. Glad you got the candles out of the mold!
