Charolette
I have a place an hour from me that sells IGI wax. I'm wanting to go today and pick up IGI 6006 for wickless candles and want to make some tarts. Is IGI 6006 good for making wickless candles and what kind of IGI wax would you buy for tarts? The guy I talked to said IGI 1239. I have read that IGI 4761 is also good for tarts. Which would yall do? Thank you
Traveler
IGI 4794 is also a nice wax for tarts. It pops right out of the molds once the wax has dried and you get a really nice scent throw.
IwantItgreen
I've not make wickless candles, but I'm pretty confident 6006 will work great. For clamshell tarts I use 50% container and 50% votive wax(IGI 4794). I've not made individual tarts so I'm not sure if it would work for them. I've read that sometimes when using 4794 by itself you may have to repour your tarts as there will be a small dip in the center.
