Real cellophane, made of wood pulp, and it is biodegradable and compostable. It costs slightly more than poly, but I think it is worth it. It is also made in the USA! I just bought some from clearcellobags.com and I have to say the customer service is fantastic. They even ran back to the dock to pull my order so I could add a forgotten item.
