tarter
For all of you experts out there:I made some candles with 1/2oz of FO. If I increase the FO to 1oz will that make it burn faster, slower or not change the burn rate? Thanks for your help.
leisa2003
The normal FO load is usually 1 oz. per pound of wax.
tarter
I realize that. Maybe I didn't word my question well. I'm wondering if the candle changes the burn rate if you add more FO.
Wessex
I have one FO that I went from 6% down to 3% and had no effect on burn rate that I could tell. Of course it was one of the "middle of the road" Fo's I use. Meaning it did not need any large wick up or wick down over my basic starting point. I think the best thing to do is make one or two test containers (I assume it is a container candle) on sizes that you know work well.Cheers,Steve Edited October 1, 2010 by Wessex
