blt212
I'd like to make a pillar, preferably out of soy pillar wax and embed small rocks on the sides of the candle. Would I use a hurricane mold to do this or is there another method....Thanks
Lightning Bug
I really haven't tried it but I would think you could do it that way and make a hurricane candle. Or, make a pillar with a shell such as some of the palm waxes have. Just seems the rocks would fall out as the candle heats and burns. The other idea would be to make a pillar with the stones embeded and poured with the top ready for a tea light or votive. To me that would be the best plan. One other thing, if you use your mold with rocks, it will probably scratch and not be good for regular pillars after that. Not sure if it would work, but maybe a plastic pipe cut to length would do for the insert? Just a few ideas. Beth
