kyme1911
I want to try making some, but I was wondering what is the best size to make them in? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Kyme
sjconner
I make mine 1 oz and put them in a shallow 2 oz tin.Susan
LuminousBoutique
They last so long I wouldnt recommended more than a 2oz bar. Guest soap sized molds work really well. The tins are a great idea too. I saw someone at a honey farm that used their own beeswax who poured them into silicone muffin pans, then placed the round into a tin after that. I've also seen them poured in round molds and then simply wrapped in candy foil, those were 1.5oz if I remember correctly.
kidsngarden
I agree with 2 oz or less because they really do last forever. I like to find a neat milky way mold or something that's to the right size of a tin and shape it in those.
kyme1911
Thanks, the tins are what I'm interested in using. I just wasn't sure what size is normal. Thanks again!Kyme
Phyra02
Don't make the mistake that I did. I bought 4 oz tins and make them about 1 oz a piece. They do last forever. Now I have to find another use for the tins. I put about 3 in a tin and gave them out to family.
Faerywren
I actually bought a "lotion bar" mold, years ago from a gal online. It's got round cavities and are too big for guest soaps but not big enough for a standard bar. They fit perfectly in a 2oz tin.~Julia
