Ravens
some people hate it, but I think many more love it. Personally, I love the smell of a good vanilla candle. However, I do not make candles, just tarts. I've tried a few vanilla FOs, but haven't been impressed with the throw.I've used KY wax for tarts. Is there a different wax that will give me a stronger scented vanilla (tarts, not candles)? I'm thinking of giving the GB 415, the IGI 4630 and 4633 a try. Or maybe mix 50/50 the IGI 4630 with C-3. Or should I use just C-3? Would using C 3 only make the tarts too soft? At this point I'm mainly interested in scent throw, not appearance. The vanillas I have come from Candle Science, KY, Wix'n'Wax. Scent Cellar
Have you used IGI 4794 or Ecosoya Pillar blend? They both make great tarts.
Ravens
No, but i have the 4786, and some Ecosoya PB. When you use the PB, how long do you let your tarts cure? Thanks!:smiley2:
IwantItgreen
I mix the Ecosoya PB with a little 4627 and that makes nice tarts. They stay creamy looking, smooth tops. I have had just plain ec PB get a little frosty or something like that after a month or two in my clamshells.
