pixie Posted November 30, 2009 Share Posted November 30, 2009 I am pouring Nana's Apple Butter from Just scents tomorrow. I will be using c-3 in a 16oz wide mouth mason jar. I have cdn wicks in 12,14 and 16. Ive noticed that half of the scents Ive tried require the 14 and the other half 16. I havent had any that have done well with the 12 yet. Any advice for Nana's Apple Butter?I am not familiar with that FO, but you have the range of wick sizes that should work for that container, depending... I'd start with the 14 and wick up or down, depending on how the 14 does. It takes time to test larger candles all the way down, but ya gotta do it with that particular jar 'cause it's a good bit taller (deeper) than it is wide. The problems I have had with it generally occur during the last half of the candle. Good luck & please let us know if it really DOES smell like apple butter!!
