nursenancy
OK - I poured quite a few baby food jars with glass glow, cdn wicks and NG's Christmas Splendor. I tested the crap out of them, just like I always do. They burned AWESOME! Then last night I took them to a candle party and lit one. (I live in the mountains at 2000 feet and this house was in the valley almost at sea level) It burned significantly different at this lady's house. Much bigger flame! Not quite a flame thrower, but....a little higher than I would have liked. It must be the altitude, is what I'm thinking. Could a couple thousand feet be enough to cause this? Something new to obsess over.....
xixo
may be an oxygen/atmospheric pressure issue - less at higher elevations, more at sea level, where her house was. bigger wick the higher you go. smaller wick for her house. good luck working with that one :smiley2:
tootie04
I dont think altitude has anything to do with it...I made a few GG to take with me and test when we went to Silverton CO...almost 10,000 ft and they burned the same as here at 2000 ft. Also I send my candles back east and they burn them at sea level with no problems at all....
Dustpuuppy
Altitude could have an effect. I'm guessing that the smaller the candle, the greater the effect. Or maybe more noticeable would be a better term. It could also be a fluke.I'd make sure before spending a year trying to re-wick everything in your line.
