geekrunner
I have 16 oz widemouth apoths, and I double wick with soy. The jar is ab 3 1/4" wide. I have an EZ Wick double wick setter that can space the wicks out at 3/4", 1 1/2", and 2 1/4". If you just manually wick, try to center them as best as possible and space no more than 1" apart. I had problems getting clean sides if spaced at 1 1/2", and found I could move two smaller wicks together at 3/4" and get the full melt pool I wanted. Depending on what wax you use, you will need to try out different sizes. For example, if you would use HTP-1312 in a single wick config, you can try 2 x HTP-93, then work your way up or down. HTH! KJohnson
Thanks for the advice. I just wicked it and i placed them about an inch and 1/4 apart, and about an inch or so from the sides..lol if that makes sense
cindym
When I doulble wick I place them side by side touching in the middle. That gives about an inch or so between the actual wicks. This works best for me.
KJohnson
Cindy so you make the wick tabs touch? and thats far enough apart? That sounds like an easier way to do it then I did...LOLThanks for the tip. I will try it next:yay:
Fern
Yup...that's what I do too. About an inch apart, the bases don't actually touch but they are pretty darn close to it.
