help balloon candles

Recommended Posts

Try letting your wax cool to about 160-165 then set the balloon in it and hold it there until the shell forms to the thickness you'd like. Cut around the outside edge of your shell with a sharp knife and quickly pull your candle out and set it on a flat level surface. Let cool some more then take the balloon out.

It's not really a dipping thing it's more of just letting the balloon sit in the wax until the shell forms.

Also to make it easier I rigged up a little pulley system so I didn't have to hold onto the balloon. My arms got tired holding the balloon for so long.
