icecold
Is olive oil a good additive to M&P soap? I would like to make a soap with it and call it Nana's soap after my grandmother, she loves her olive oil. If I could get away with scenting it garlic I would!! How much oil per pound of soap is good?
kestagano04
Here is a great thread on M&P additives. Lots of great information including suggestions on the amount of olive oil you can use.http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80353&highlight=olive+oil+m%26p Edited September 24, 2009 by kestagano04

icecold
Wow that's a great link, thanks!!! So if I added olive oil to honey M&P. do you think it would cloud? Or do you think Goat's milk soap would be a better soap for olive oil.
DeAnna_EC
im not sure if it would cloud or not, but if you wanted honey and olive oil, you could always add them to the GM soap to ensure no cloudiness.or just try a small batch of honey with OO to see what it does. kestagano04
I have experienced clouding with my clear base. I prefer to use it in an opaque base.
icecold
I think I'll try it in Goat's milk soap, add some olive oil, honey and maybe some lemon peel and call it Nana's remedy. What do you think?
