jen55 Posted June 23, 2009 Share Posted June 23, 2009 Hi everyone! I just wanted to say HI and let you guys know that I love this forum! I just started making MP soap and it's super fun. So far I haven't been coloring the soap but now I think I'm ready I was wondering...do you guys prefer to use micas/oxides and mix them yourself or do you guys prefer the pre mixed colorants. I'm interested in non bleeding colors so from what I've read, micas/oxides don't bleed...but I'm just a bit confused on which one I should invest in. sockmonkey Posted July 22, 2009 Share Posted July 22, 2009 I use liquids and my m&p soaps have never bled. I've used micas from TKB and don't feel like they are worth the trouble. I buy my dyes from The Chemistry Store and bought some from what used to be known as Craft Lobby, which were super cheap for the amount you get. Dyes from both companies incorporated well and didn't leave specks of color like some liquid dyes I got from another popular supplier.
