Jokerjen
When you go into a store that is selling candles ...and the wicks are like 4 inches long and the candle is caving in the middle? I HATE that! Seriously how are some of these companies even making money?
islandgirl
Nope.. I look at it as another customer for me!! I totally understand what you mean... You wonder how these commercial candles can even be put on the stores shelves. And then people buy them...:rolleyes2
Stella1952
Totally agree, Island Girl! :highfive: I have come to expect that commercial items are of inferior quality. Honestly, I don't give a crap about what other people's candles look like. In fact, it usually gives me a chuckle..."...and THESE are the pros, eh?...":laugh2:
Jokerjen
I guess I just can't believe that people would pay for such a poorly made product!

Jokerjen
Have you ever been in a store and pointed out how poorly made something is to the person working there?
Stella1952
Have you ever been in a store and pointed out how poorly made something is to the person working there? Not since I realized that those are usually NOT the people in charge of ordering merchandise... Jokerjen
I was in a store once and was telling my other half how poorly they were made and he came over and looked and stated rather loudly how my candles were much better than those! Well, it got me some space in their store!lol
Karen M
Yea and the wicks are way off center, and the scents sometimes are horrible.
Jokerjen
I know!!!! Yet peoplel seem to buy this CRAP!!! I'm anxious to see how my craft fair goes next weekend, what with the economy and all......But generally 6000-10000 people go through...I did this particular one when I fist started making candles about 6 years ago.... and I did fairly well then, so now that my products have improved in professional appearnace, etc...I am hoping to do even better. Debra Phelps
I love to see bad candles that smell bad. Makes my day.:yay:That is a factory making them. They don't care. Some people buy for the jar. Some people think all candles are the same. Heard that one? Now that ticks me off.
beekeeper_sd
I've seen that 4" wick thing from other candle makers at craft shows and I always wonder, how long does it take to trim the wicks? I mean, really!!!!
