asheebeans
I want to formulate a facial bar for my wonky 37 year old skin. I have tea tree & and DSM, and planned on infusing some chamomile/calendula in olive oil too. My question is, should I still aim for a 5% superfat? Anything else you could think of to add that would be nice for combo skin? (I know someone is going to say Neem, I know someone is but GAWD does it stink! LOL) Thanks in advance!! SOAPFREAK
I add witch hazel as part of my water and I also use baby carrots and sour buttermilk, great for the skin. I also add virgin red palm oil, very high in beta carotene.
lsg
I am going to make an acne soap for my grandson with aloe gel, glycerine and Dead Sea Mud.
Meridith
For my face, I love pine tar in my soap. DSM might be too drying for your skin. It is for mine but I am a bit older than you. I find any clays and muds to be a too drying on my aging skin.
MikeInPdx
I'm 41 and have combination skin.....I find that my face likes a pure castile with about a 2-3% superfat. It's strong enough to take care of the oily areas, and gentle enough not to dry me out.
