Abbiepql
A wax that did not shrink or was affected by temperature might not have wet spots. I can have a perfectly wet spot free candle set up in my shop and take it outside in the cold for few minutes and they appear. On the same token I can take a candle with many wet spots on it out of my cold office into my warm shop and in a couple of days the wet spots are gone. As for esthetics and customers not liking them or thinking they are air pockets, I have been selling for almost 7 years and NEVER had anyone say or mention to me they thought they were air pockets? Honestly I have only had a couple of customers ask me what they are and when I explained it was where the wax pulled away from the jar due to the wax hardening, thus shrinking they were only mildly interested in my answer. I guess if you had a wax that was like vaseline, gel candles don't get them because of that nature. And by the way, my pure beeswax products do shrink and contract, they are not immune!
