MissMary Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 My guess is a custom mold. But the only way I could think of to make it at home.Make a somewhat hard lip balm in say... red. Pour it into a cookie sheet about.. 1/8" deep or so. Let it harden. Slice it into strips. Hard enough not to melt while working with it, but soft enough to curl without breaking.Make curly q's out of the strips and insert them into the tubes, press against the sides. Then "overpour" just like with candles, with a white base.Pretty time consuming though and unless maybe you can do this extremely quickly, not worth the work for the profit. Thing is you'd have to wait on set up, but that shouldn't really take that long. Without some type of a machine, I would think these would be very tedious.
