flutterbye
Just switched waxes to use with my tarts and have a few testing questions. I'm using the tea light burners which I hate because the tarts burning temp varies due to the tea light, but they sell well so I'm sticking with them.Anyways, I've taken the temps of my tarts while burning and the vary from 183 degrees - 198 degrees. (Before I never exceeded 155 degrees). Is this temp dangerous? I'm using 1oz. pp of wax. Not sure how to figure in flashpoints and stuff when mixed with wax...Just wanting to get an idea on what others' temps are with their tarts. coconut
When I melt and mix my wax for tarts it is close to 200 degrees. So far I have not had one catch fire yet. There is a thread about this somewhere on this site that says the flashpoint of FO changes once it is put in the wax.
