Is this going to be a problem??

Did you add the lye to the cold milk? I doubt if it is ruined, perhaps a bit cosmetically challenged. ;) When I make my sour milk soap, I add the cold milk to the room temperaure oils and stick blend. When it's smooth, I add my room temp lye water. Seems to work well.

So you use just enough water to dissolve your lye? then finish out the right weight with the milk? I will have to try that..Thanks..

The flecks are from the milk burning a bit. You'll still be able to use it. It's best to have the milk frozen in cubes if you are adding the lye directly to it, dump the lye in all at once and stir, stir stir! even then you may have white flecks from the milk, but not brown

Or you can do like above and mix the lye with water, usually no flecks whatsoever with that method
