I personally don't use corn oil as it doesn't really bring much to the party and the shelf life is very short. There are other supermarket oils such as canola, sunflower, or even Crisco that would give you a very nice bar of soap without the corn oil. It probably was rancid if it smelled that bad, and the high percentage you used didn't help.If you find a recipe that you want to add some FRESH corn oil to just to satisfy your own curiosity...just use it 10% or less Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
