pj'snana
I am not sure if this is the correct place to post, but I just wanted to let everyone know what I saw at Wal-mart yesterday. I was buying vitamins and saw a 16oz. tub of extra virgin coconut oil. It was 9.97. It was in a white tub and said it was a health supplement. I don't know how that compares to on-line, but if someone just wanted a small amount to play around with, this could be helpful. Just thought I would share. Sister Kya
Yikes! I think I'll stick with the LouAna plain ol' coconut oil in the baking section of my Super Wal-Mart. At $3.12 for 31.5 oz., I can afford to play around and make some mistakes. At .62 an ounce my 2# batches of 100% CO soap would be pretty dear!Save the EVCO for eating, use the cheap stuff for soaping!
swamp_deb
That's good to know the Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is what I use in lip balms, it smells sooooooo yummy. It would be a shame to soap with it and lose the lovely fragrance, but it is great in leave on products.
Jadryga
For some reason, I can't stand the scent of VCO... maybe I could for about 2 minutes, but then it just lingers and lingers and I smell like coconuts all day long after all my EOs have dissipated...
