bthouse
Hi all:My question is, after burning a soy candle for 3-4 hours and the top looks like cottage cheese once it hardens, is this because the wick is too big or too small. It does have an ok scent throw though.....ThanksKathy
Stella1952
Kathy, what kind of wax are you using, what wick, what FO? A photo would help...
CWave
I don't think it's a wick issue. The wax cooled too fast after extinguishing the flame. It should not be a problem. The best candles do this after burning.Hope this helps.
bthouse
Sorry, I knew I had read somewhere that this can happen with too big/too hot a wick, but couldnt find it again.I am testing soy/cottonseed wax and it has happened with a couple of FO.Smell is ok, and tested with CD's.
