SassyArtist
Hello! I have been using votives and tea lights for my massage practice so far and was hoping to find a cheaper alternative and something that better suits my candle holders. The most important things to me are: price and minimal/no soot and mushrooming (unattractive to me).My containers are cup shaped votive holders from Wal-mart that have been used to hold all my candles so far so I don't believe there will be a problem with cracking. They are 2.5" tall, 2.5" wide at the top and 1.5" on the bottom (the bottom 1/3 of the cup tapers the most).I've been looking at the EcoSoya 135 blend and possibly a LX-14 (candle science) or 44-24-18z (Peaks) wick. I'm not planning on adding any scents or colors since the cups are already cobalt blue and I burn incense.Do you think this is a good combination? I'm not worried about the look of the candle so much as the natural light/ambiance. I'd love to know if anyone has tried something similar to this already. Thanks! eugenia
I use LX in all my containers. LX14 sounds good, possibly LX12 as everything I do is scented and colored necissitating a larger wick, however, I work with paraffin, not soy. Send me a PM if you need some for testing. I'm happy to help.e
