littysmom
HI, does anyone know if you have to add an additive when using Powdered GM in CPRT soap making?? I just bought some and need alittle info. I thought I could just mix it up and use it as if it were regular GM.Thanks Lisa
jbren
no additives necessary. 4 oz. (weighed) to 1 quart water to fully reconstitute.
Crafty1_AJ
Or you can just stick blend the powder into your oils before adding the lye water.
candlesandkeepsakes
I make a very thick slurry with my gm powder and add it at trace so the lye doesn't turn the soap dark. I have never tried blending into the oils...does the lye discolour the soap this way?
Crafty1_AJ
My unscented, uncolored GM soap is a very light tan color. Just a bit tanner than my normal unscented, uncolored non-GM soap (which is a creamy white). If the GM soap gels, it will be a bit darker tan.
