valerie6
Hi,Sorry if this is a dumb question but, I was reading through some of the threads and ran across one that said the products have to be certified, is that true if you are buying a base and just scenting and pouring it? Any help on this is appreciated!Valerie
prairieannie
There was a thread recently that mentioned products being certified, but I believe it was written by someone in the UK. In the US you don't need to have your products certified, however I think there may be some varying rules from state to state as far as certain bath and body products go and how they must be labeled etc.

elly
Any cosmetic products, including soap, must be certified before being sold in any EU country. I don't believe this is required in the US though.
RobinInOR
The only state that has similar requirements to the EU and Canada is Florida. They've got to have special permits and have their products registered and sites inspected (even if they're using bases). Not quite as sticky as the EU but more regulations than other states.
