CBE
I was contacted via telephone today by a company called Incredible Discoveries, Inc. I was questioned about a few of the products I make, and they were interested in them. They basically mass market your products and get them out to a bigger audience (infomercials). These infomercials are funded by investors. I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau website and they are legit. I have a "phone meeting" with one of the top bosses of this company Monday morning. Has anyone ever heard of this company before?

Bella Luna
I think I've heard of something similar before, on this message board. If I remember correctly, the other person said that they meet with you and want you to give them a ton of money up front for the advertising or whatever.EDIT: here's the link to another post: http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54762&highlight=infomercial
MissMary
I was contacted as well.I did some searching online about them and did take the call, but the woman didn't really seem to know what to ask in the first place. They asked one man for $75,000 up front to 'advertise' the product in a market.http://www.matthewchan.com/2007/06/20/incredible-discoveries-sets-up-phone-appointment/http://www.matthewchan.com/2007/06/26/highly-suspicious-of-incredible-discoveries-75000-fee/In any case, I’ve had the benefit of knowing a couple of people who have done infomercials in years past and they never paid any fee. They also had mixed results. If someone believes in your product enough, I believe they will generally front production costs. When the $75,000 fee was brought up, I knew the phone call was going to end very soon.ETA: I also believe this is the blog the other post was talking about.Buyer beware, they are talking about a ton of infomercials and such, but don't confuse them with the old programs "Amazing Discoveries".Also, to add, Ripoffreport.com is great for some things, but they claim this company legit - however there is a court case against them for taking payments to rank a company legit, so I'd watch that part of it.
