geekrunner
So far in my testing of MC soy, I have had reasonably good luck with adding 3% BW, pouring when cloudy, and getting a smooth but textured top. I have also experimented with 3% BW AND 5-7% paraffin together, pouring just when the wax gets to a gel-like state on the sides of the pour pot. I will post a picture later, it looks so good I hate to burn it! Beautiful smooth creamy top, NO frosting at all! It is alot of trouble, though, so I may just stick with BW only. Soon I will wick these testers and smell 'em!I have had to heat gun some tops, but they had no wicks in them. How does one properly heat gun a top on a candle that has a wick in it. Doesn't it melt the wax covering on the wick? Does anyone have a method to protect the wick when heat gunning?
