MissMary
I use a taupe shade for a few colors, but I get mine for 1lb of IGI 4630, 1lb. A drop of Coffee and a drop of Golden Honey/Vanilla liquid coloring from Peaks. If that's just a bit too dark, then do the toothpick drops. sudsnwicks
When I do the cappuccino hazelnut, I use the brown chip and the yellow chip in equal parts. I thought the result was fairly taupe-like.

candlebug
I would be worried on how the candle burns..any color change can make a differrence on how the candle burns. Sending a new color out and not testing could hurt your business in the future. JMO
