Prettyinpink Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 I have been checking their site, and i did not see any familiar kind of preservation for most lotions. If the products have such a high content of organic products, then how long would their shelf life be? Quote
RobinInOR Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 The Phenoxyethanol is the main bactericide. They talk up their specialty mix of ingredients ( Salix nigra (Organic Black Willow Bark) Extract, Mannan, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Oleoresin, Azadirachta indica (Neem) Oil, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric Acid)but the phenoxyethanol is the main workhorse, at least that's what they use in the 2 lotions I carry. There's their page that describes what they've done:http://www.essentialwholesale.com/category_s/22.htm Quote
elegantnaturals Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Do you know what Mannan is? I haven't been able to figure it out. I do have their baby creme and it's okay (it feels a bit waxy). The one I make for my boys is better. Quote
Prettyinpink Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 Thank you RobinOR...but WOW that is one wordy article! I am thinking of ordering some samples. If it's one of those you get what you pay for situations i would not mind, but not if it is going to last a very short while...Thanks again:smiley2: Quote
