melbo
I was wondering if any of you could tell me who has the cheapest (best) paraffin wax for making hurricane candles? I only need a couple pounds since all I want to do is make one candle with my daughters pic on it for her graduationthanksmelissa
SatinDucky
Hmm... where to start...1. Cheapest price will depend on where you live and what shipping charges to you will be. You will have to do some shopping around.2. If you're going to make a decent hurricane, you will need more than a couple pounds. A typical 5" square mold will need between 4 and 5 lbs. Unless you are extremely lucky, it'll take a few tries. They're not that complicated, but the do take practice. Yes, goofs can be melted down, but you will still lose some wax with each try. 3. Paraffin usually comes by the slab or case. A slab being about 10 lbs. A case is multiple slabs.4. Do some research... read a lot. You may find it's much more trouble to learn than you want to go through if it's just for that one.
