Making container candles for the first time, Soy?

I make soy wax melters already, now I want to move into container candles. I'm debating soy or a different wax blend. Pros and cons? Best scent throw?

Also my container has no lid, so it'd be open all the time, is soy or wax blend more stable?

I's be buying wax at genwax by the way.
