TartAddict
Hi all I've been going back and forth on how to get my short thermometer to reach all the way into my Presto pot. I read a thread that suggested a thermometer with a probe (you can poke a hole in a paint stick, prop the paint stick sideways across the pot and stick the probe through it so it will stay put and not fall into the wax). I love this idea, but am not sure where to get the thermometer. I'm pretty sure it's just a meat thermometer, right? Any suggestions? As always, thanks D

TartAddict
Thanks Would something like this work? It looks perfect...This thermometer has a 12 in. solid stainless steel shaft and frame with beveled glass dial. It reads from 50 - 550 Farenheit. The 2 1/2 in. large dial is easy to read. It has a adjustable pan clip and it can be use for BBQ grills, candy makers, sugar work, jelly and deep fryers. It has a large heavy duty stainless steel clip that will fit any size pot or pan. The clip can be moved up or down the shaft or easily removed.NSF approved for safety. It's $24.99 on sale. Thoughts?
